What makes you different from all the other copywriters out there?
For one thing, I’ve got over 25 years of business experience. I’ve written dozens of proposals for all kinds of work, including some projects that I subsequently managed. I’ve managed international projects with teams of up to 80 people.
I’ve consulted with individuals, government agencies, non-profits, and multinational corporations. I’m a quick study with a good grasp of business issues, requirements, and priorities. And I’m a good listener, so I have access to lots of useful - and sometimes not so useful - information.
Unlike some writers, I don’t have an artist’s temperament. I’m creative, but I’m usually calm and easy to work with. I’ve dealt with clients who have yelled at me and thrown things (though I’m not in the market for a lot of those!). I’ve worked successfully with strong and difficult personalities, and generally win them over with a combination of skill, tact, and valuable services.
